What can we learn from these stories? Elisha requested that a double portion of Elijah’s spirit be given him. What does it mean to receive a double portion?

In the early rain experience of Adventist history, 50 000 Christians joined the Millerite movement. But after the shaking, only 50 remained. Will the Adventist church in our day experience a similar result? How can we prepare to withstand the shaking? The pillars of Adventism must be maintained and we must plead for a double portion of the Spirit to meet the crisis that is just ahead of us.
