Rejecting the 1888 Message
On the Borders of Canaan
What have been the consequences of rejecting the 1888 message of righteousness by faith? In this lecture, Walter Veith studies the typology comparing the experience of Israel about to enter the Promised Land with the Advent movement’s similar event in 1888. The failure of the Israelite movement to enter Canaan was emulated by antitypical Israel. Unfortunately, the antitype is always of greater extent than the type and the experience of the Advent movement clearly demonstrates this phenomenon. Discover symbolic parallels between the experience of Caleb and Joshua when the other ten spies opposed their report, and what happened in 1888. Walter Veith considers the historical impact of 1888 events upon Adventism’s future.
