Be as Wise as Serpents

As Christ’s followers, we are called to present the everlasting Gospel to everyone. But how can we learn successful strategies for sharing the Gospel? When Jesus sent the disciples out, He told them to be as wise as serpents, but as harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16). In these words, He revealed the successful strategy for winning souls to His kingdom.

However, being anything like a serpent may be repulsive to us, as a serpent frequently symbolizes evil and deception. But the Bible shows that being wise as a serpent is about knowing your audience and how to approach and talk to people about the Gospel.
